Seven AVIX Autonomic laser bird deterrent systems were originally installed across a newly constructed mining workshop, targeting internal roof cavities and overhead perching zones.
Bird activity reduced by 90% within one week of commissioning, with the reduction sustained more than 18 months after installation.
Following the success of the initial deployment, Bird Beam was engaged to expand bird control into another area of the same mining site, where extreme bird pressure required a tailored approach.
The recently completed expansion combines four additional AVIX laser systems with Wingzaway electromagnetic bird deterrent technology, providing a complementary approach to bird control in a particularly challenging environment.
